RE: IPA Consultant’s Performance
Dear Mr. [IPA Employee],

Let me start this letter by saying that I never realized how much I didn’t know about running a successful business. I wing dinged things for years and thought I was successful. Granted I started with one truck and one employee, and within seven years took it to twelve employees, five trucks, and over one million in sales. Every year I improve sales around two to three hundred thousand, but year after year I was stealing from Peter to pay Paul. In doing so I ruined my personal credit due to the fact that I would make sure my vendors and employees were paid first. Then if there was any money left I would pay myself. In the past few years I found myself not moving in a positive direction. Cash flow was bad always trying to hunt money to cover payroll, getting shut off by vendors till they got a payment. This was very stressful, I was literally losing my hair (literally). I didn’t see any end to this stressful rat race of money shortages. I felt like I needed help from someone or something to help get over the hump. No successful company has to call and beg for money to cover payroll. I was either going to have to downsize or go bust. Downsizing was not an option for me, I’ve worked too hard and ruined my credit, and got too fat and lazy to go back in the field and do manual labor. I needed to do something!

When I first met with [IPA] I thought they were just another company trying to get money from me with a lot of promises with no results. I mean, come on how could you fix my company when you don’t know anything about me, how my company operates, scheduling, typical problems with employees, and the ins and outs of my construction company. Where’s the smoke screen?

[IPA Consultant] started off by evaluating my company and took small steps to get the ball rolling. Every day I learned so many things I was doing wrong. Not in a bad way, but in a positive and reassuring way. Day after day I was becoming a more educated businessman without even realizing it. At night I would talk to my friends that own their own businesses and realized when I was talking, I really knew what I was talking about. I felt like a light bulb was shining over my head and everybody was listening like I was a business god. Everything that I was talking about and the confidence I had was a direct result of what [IPA Consultant] was drilling into my head. I found myself closely listening to every word, to the last detail that came out of [IPA Consultant]’s mouth. From scheduling to estimating jobs the proper way to ensure profit percent that I wanted to have (that was invaluable). My company records are now accurate, up to date, and show a positive balance. I no longer have to chase my money around and not have the ability to pay bills on time, Fridays are no longer scary to me! I now run my business, not my business running me.

If anyone has any doubts about what IPA can do for them, the only thing I can say is you weren’t scared about starting your own business and took the chance, why be scared about running your business properly.

I would like to personally thank everyone at [IPA] for your help. My future and my family’s future will now succeed any prior generation that has been before me, for this I say Thank You!
